The non-profit Association was founded in Milano (Italy) in 1984.
Its general aim is to promote, develop and publicize the thermal and acoustic insulation in building industry as a way to protect the environment and make people live better in their houses.
Its membership is open “to any private, professional, company, association interested in giving its support to achieve the aims and the missions of the Association”.
ANIT is a supporter of the Kyoto Club and encourages the respect of Kyoto’s Protocol by improving energy efficiency, renewable forms of energy, cut gases emissions and stop climate change.
How ANIT do that:

1. by organizing free conferences around Italy.
2. by publishing the revue Neo-Eubios (20.000 copies a year), softwares and books to help professionals to respect Italian and European Legislation.
3. by informing with the web-site www.anit.it, the link ANITTEL - to choose the right insulating material for each project- and the discussion FORUM.
4. by joining the most important italian committees of the sector (UNI Building Trade Commission, UNI Environment Commission, UNI Acoustic Commission, Fire Commission and The CTI - Italian Thermotechnical Comittee).
5. by representing a link between privates, professionals and companies who work in the Insulating Industry.

Some of our members are delegates, and they are supposed to promote the Association’s activities locally. Find our delegates in Lombardia, Liguria, Toscana, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Emilia Romagna, Piemonte, Veneto, Campania, Marche, Puglia.
